I have never been to the Silver Dollar and it's unlikely that I ever will. Because I live thousands of miles away. But, hey you should go and tell me what it's like. Cheers! PS: I posted unrelated food pics and other stuff.

It's a hot Tuesday afternoon. We're on vacation in need of a cooling beverage. Silver Dollar was the nearest venue. So glad we stopped. The bar was clean and thankfully air conditioned. The beers were cheap and the cocktails strong. Thanks to "Crazy Mary" (who provided excellent service and was vey attentive) we received some valuable information on places to visit and local restaurants. She was fun to chat with and we're sorry we are just passing thru and cannot be regulars.

The menu is simplistic for breakfast but every single meal is so much better than I ever thought like the French toast and the pancakes we're amazing. We came from a baseball tournament looking for good food and not fast food.

Delicious diner food on a budget- most breakfasts here are about $6-7 and you will get a heaping plate of food. The number six was AMAZING, two mouth watering buttered biscuit halves topped with two hefty hand-formed sausage patties, plenty of melted cheese and two eggs (mine were scrambled). Then about a quart of sausage gravy is ladled over the top of all that goodness! I didn't see the other reviewers tip to get a side of hash browns for the extra gravy because there will be a LOT left over. The Bloodys are nice and spicy with some horseradish in there for extra kick. Very friendly patrons and bartender. The kitchen appears to be very tiny which might cause a longer wait for those in a large party but with drink specials to be had, we did just fine while we waited for what I think might be the best breakfast in Peoria! *Cash only establishment with an ATM on site.

A group of four of us went in for Sunday brunch last weekend. I loved the atmosphere, it was a small town bar, where the whole place is part of the same conversation. The food was great, and I went all out on my order. I got the number 6, which is a sausage egg and cheese biscuit, covered in gravy. I completed it by adding a side of hash browns and mixing it in the extra gravy. My boyfriend got a Denver omelette, and I'll say it's one of the best omelettes I've ever tried. Our server was a blast! She joked with us and provided great service. Probably one of the most underrated places in Peoria!
